Construction will run through August
Terminal 1 Roadway Improvements Underway
Lambert-St. Louis International Airport is repairing and will repave the Terminal 1 Ticketing Drive (upper level). The roadway construction project is being performed at night. However, there will be lane and drop-off parking closures that will be in effect through the entire project schedule ending in late August.
The upper level drive has two thru lanes, angled drop-off parking spots and an exit lane. The south thru lane, closest to the Terminal 1 parking garage, will be closed through most of July. After repairs and repaving are completed on that lane, crews will move traffic to that south lane and close the inner thru-lane for repairs.
The project also requires the closure of the angled drop-off spots which will be accomplished in two phases. Half of the 40 available drop-off spots will be closed when repairs begin on the inner thru-lane. Once these parking spots have been repaired and reopened, crews will close the remaining passenger drop-off spots for work until the full project is completed. Motorists will have full use of the exit lane during the project.
Lambert has signage in place to direct motorists around the construction. During the project, all airport shuttle bus and van services (hotels, car rentals, parking lots and others) will be using the lower level Arrivals Drive for the drop-off and pick-up of passengers. The last major resurfacing project on the Terminal 1 Ticketing Drive was in 1997.
